About The Seth Center
The Seth Center was founded to continue the legacy of Seth’s teachings, first introduced to the world by Jane Roberts in the 1960s. It began when Rick Stack, a former student and friend of Jane Roberts and Seth, founded New Awareness Network, Inc. in 1988. After her death, Rick worked closely with Jane’s husband, Robert Butts, to publish many of the Seth books and audio recordings available today. Over the years, Rick’s vision expanded beyond publishing, leading to the establishment of the Seth Center as a hub for Seth-related education, events, and community.
Just before Rick Stack’s transition in early 2024, ownership of the Seth Center passed to Rick’s partner and longtime Seth student, David Cielak. Under David’s leadership, the Seth Center has continued to grow into a thriving education center and community.
A central part of our mission is to honor and preserve the integrity of the original Seth material. Through New Awareness Network, Inc., we are committed to ensuring that Seth’s books and recordings remain available and in print, safeguarding their authenticity for future generations.
The Seth Center now includes a dedicated team of passionate people and fellow Seth explorers, all working to expand the teachings of Seth and Jane Roberts. We empower individuals to transform their lives through the practical application of Seth’s wisdom, moving from Seth readers to Seth doers. Meet Our Faculty
The History of Jane Roberts and Seth
Jane Roberts was a gifted writer and poet from Saratoga Springs, New York, who had a deep interest in metaphysics and the exploration of consciousness. In 1963, during a Ouija board session with her husband, Robert Butts, Jane unexpectedly began channeling the entity known as Seth. This moment marked the beginning of what would become a life-changing journey, not just for Jane, but for countless readers and students of the Seth material.
Over the next 20 years, Jane would channel Seth in hundreds of sessions, dictating volumes of material that would later become the Seth books. These sessions took place in their modest apartment, with Rob diligently transcribing each session. Jane’s scientific approach and healthy skepticism gave the Seth material a grounded, practical quality that resonates deeply with those cautious of spiritual dogma. Her personal evolution as an explorer of consciousness continues to inspire those seeking answers beyond the ordinary. The Seth material, spanning more than 60 books, covers a wide range of topics, from the nature of personal reality and the eternal validity of the soul to the mechanics of reality creation and the multidimensional aspects of human consciousness.
