All That Is (God)
All That Is is t he infinite and eternal field and source of consciousness from which all dimensions of existence and identities arise. It is an ever-expanding gestalt of intelligence and awareness that encompasses all consciousness and realities. It is the creative source of everything, and is aware of everything because it is everything. All That Is continuously grows and learns through its creations.
Due to the misconceptions associated with the word ‘God’, Seth prefers the term ‘All That Is’.
Astral Body
Every living thing has an astral form. It is composed of electromagnetic components and is a framework formed by inner energy, about whose reference points, the physical body is constructed.
Beliefs
Personal concepts, ideas, and attitudes that shape individual experience and attract corresponding physical conditions. They filter incoming information, organize experience, generate confirming events, and can limit or expand possibilities. You ‘hypnotize’ yourself into all the beliefs you have. This simply means that you consciously accept them, focus upon them, exclude data to the contrary, and activate the unconscious mechanisms that materialize those beliefs into physical experience.
Camouflage Reality
Camouflage realities are planes of existence, formed from inner reality, each with unique characteristics, root assumptions, and patterns. Physical reality is one such camouflage system, where we are learning to transform inner energy into physical constructions that our outer senses then perceive. Physical matter is not solid but constantly created and renewed through psychic projection by the inner Self.
Coincidence
All events, both personal and collective, are the result of a relationship between individual and collective thoughts, beliefs, emotions, imagination, and expectations. Together these form patterns of psychic energy inside the plane of reality Seth calls Framework 2. At that level, all this is arranged according to energetic frequencies of association, beliefs, intent, and desire, which we individually and collectively generate in every moment. Seeming coincidence is the materialized expression of the natural order and organization of this vast field of inner data and psychic energy.
Conscious Mind
The inner Self adopts the physically focused conscious mind to allow it to act in the world. The conscious mind is particularly equipped to direct outward activity, to handle waking experience and oversee physical work. Its beliefs about the nature of reality are then given to inner portions of the self. These rely upon the conscious mind’s interpretation of temporal reality. The conscious mind sets the goals, and the inner self brings them about, using all its facilities and inexhaustible energy. The great value of the conscious mind lies in its ability to make decisions and set directions. It is meant to be flexible and creative, allowing the self to explore, adapt, and change rather than being rigidly analytical.
Consciousness
The presence of awareness in all things. Consciousness is not limited to human experience but exists in all matter, energy, and dimensions. It is self-aware, self-reflective, and constantly evolving, shaping reality through perception and intent.
Consciousness Units (CU’s)
Basic units of consciousness that exist outside space and time and are indestructible. They combine to form all organizations of consciousness. These consciousness units (CU’s) are also the building blocks that form all matter and space itself. In their purest form they can be in all places at the same time. They can operate as separate identities or flow together in a vast wave of activity, as a force. They contain infinite properties of expansion, development, and organization. Despite whatever organizations they become part of their own individual identity is not annihilated. They possess their own inclinations, leanings, propensities.
Cooperation
The interconnected nature of all consciousness. Reality is not built on competition, but on the cooperation of energy and awareness at all levels. Cooperation allows different aspects of consciousness to interact, learn, and evolve together, ensuring balance and harmony in the greater system of existence.
Counterparts
Different versions of an identity existing simultaneously in the same historical time period, each exploring different aspects and potentials of the various global cultural and societal conditions happening then. Counterparts often share psychological characteristics and may be drawn to similar social groups and situations. Each of you may be exploring different aspects of the same overall themes and challenges from different vantage points. You may or may not have contact with these other selves in waking life, or you may only have contact with them via the dreamstate or inner reality. The existence of counterparts expands our understanding of reincarnation and the multidimensional nature of the self.
Creation
The foundational law that drives all existence. Creation is the natural expression of consciousness, continuously bringing forth new realities, ideas, and experiences. It operates through imagination, belief, and intention, manifesting both physical and non-physical forms.
Death
The transition that occurs when the inner Self, which has been projecting a portion of its awareness into physical existence, withdraws that focus. This lack of energy from the inner Self no longer maintains the physical body, so it breaks down. The inner Self maintains its identity and continues to develop after this transition.
Death is not an end but a movement of awareness into different dimensions of existence. Your present personality continues to grow and develop in the after-death experience, which is as individual as physical life experience. Most people choose one of three main areas of focus for their next after-death experience: another reincarnation, re-working the life you just ended to try out other probabilities, or entering another system of reality entirely.
In the same way there’s no actual force of evil in any dimension of reality, there’s no heaven or hell after physical death. None unless you create one for yourself, a reality that you project from your own systems of belief, emotions, imagination and expectation.
Dream State
A dimension of reality where the psyche is free from physical focus. It ’s the pre-staging area for physical events, where both individual and mass events are worked out, species-wide activities are coordinated, biological and psychological balance is maintained, and future events are previewed and selected. Physical reality is stabilized through mass dream activity. Dreams have their own electromagnetic actuality and continue to exist after the dreamer wakes. All forms of consciousness dream.
Durability
The persistence of consciousness across different states and forms, expressing the drive for value fulfillment. While physical bodies may change or decay, consciousness itself continues in a process of evolution and transformation. Durability ensures the continuation of identity and learning beyond physical existence.
Ego
A portion of the self designed to navigate physical reality, serving as a protective and organizing mechanism that enables the inner self to inhabit the physical plane. It is meant to work in cooperation with the inner Self, allowing for the integration of multidimensional awareness into physical experience. A rigid ego can limit perception, whereas a flexible ego allows for growth, intuition, and deeper self-realization. The ego is meant to grow and evolve and join up with the inner Self.
Electromagnetic Energy (EE) Units
EE units are the basic building blocks of physical reality. They are made up of Consciousness Units (CUs) and lie just beneath the threshold of physical matter. The EE units bridge inner and outer reality, translating non-physical experience into physical events and objects. They are not bound by the laws of physical matter because they exist prior to matter. Instead, they follow the laws of consciousness and respond to the psychic energy of thought and emotion. The EE units are h ighly charged and in constant motion. The EE units propel psychic energy of thought and emotion into physical actualization when they reach certain ranges of intensity.
Emotions
- Core Beliefs: Fundamental ideas about existence that only allow you to perceive correlating and confirming events and attract correlating and confirming subsidiary beliefs. They become invisible boundaries of your experience unless you become aware that they are false. Once a core belief is understood to be false, other subsidiary false beliefs also fall away.
- Limiting Beliefs: Beliefs that are false in nature, based on a misunderstanding about yourself, your creative power, or the nature of reality. They restrict your natural creative forces and certain qualities of your innate beingness for as long as you focus on them.
- Bridge Beliefs: Overarching beliefs that draw a throughline of similarity between seemingly contradictory beliefs. They help unite and harmonize different belief systems, such as a limiting belief with a more expansive one.
- Mass Beliefs: “Climates of belief” shared by many people at once in various societies, cultures, parts of the globe, etc. They influence civilization at any given time.
- Belief Systems: A collection of beliefs that are interdependent and interwoven into a gestalt mental framework through which you interpret and create reality. They can either limit or expand your natural creative abilities. Belief systems are necessary and natural, their purpose is to help you direct the functioning of your biological being. Belief systems attract thoughts that follow their emotional tone and generate experiences to confirm them.
Emotions are pure vitality, slightly translated into feeling tones. They are psychic electro-chemical energy in fluid motion and transformation. They are neither positive nor negative but flow from beliefs, and when faced and felt with bodily sensations will automatically bring about their own state of resolution. They are the language of consciousness and one of the primary ways we experience our physical reality. Emotions power the materialization of thoughts into physical events.
Energy Transformation
The continuous process by which energy changes form but never ceases to exist. Energy transformation is the process by which the pure vitality of All That Is translates into different patterns and camouflage systems of reality. This allows consciousness to evolve, form different dimensions of reality, and transition between different states of being. This principle ensures that no energy is lost, but rather reconfigured into new patterns of expression.
Entity (Soul)
Seth’s word for what is commonly called the “Soul.” The larger, multidimensional self that contains all probable and reincarnational selves. Immortal and nonphysical while maintaining distinct identity. It has vast energy resources and cannot be destroyed or diminished. The entity must create as it is created – this is the gift behind all existence. It has complete freedom with no limits or boundaries.
Evil
No true evil exists in the universe, only ignorance or a lack of understanding of the inherent unity and interconnectedness of all things. Rather than absolute moral categories imposed by a judgmental deity, good and evil are relative terms describing experiences that either align with or diverge from the fundamental creative impulse of All That Is. Violence and destruction arise from a sense of fear and powerlessness, not from inherent evil. Understanding the illusory nature of good and evil can free you from the destructive patterns of judgment, blame, and self-recrimination that so often accompany these concepts.
Expectation (see Suggestion)
Expectation is the energetic threshold through which inner constructs materialize into outer experience. Expectation initiates materialization into physical reality. It is a threshold of belief that is experienced in the body, not just in the mind.
Feeling-Tone
The vibrational essence of an individual’s Being, the unique energetic signature of your spirit as it merges with the physical body. The feeling tone expresses your individuality in pure energy form. The emotional basis of your physical experience arises from it. Feeling tones ride the underlying rhythms of one’s consciousness and govern large areas of experience. The energy of the feeling tone originates from the core of your Being, from your source. All consciousness has its own feeling-tone.
Free Will
The ability to choose among probabilities and direct experience. Free will operates within a larger framework of consciousness that encourages cooperation and evolution. While individuals have complete creative freedom, they are also part of a greater interconnected system where all choices contribute to the expansion of consciousness.
Grace (State Of)
A natural condition of effortless and joyful growth. All beings are inherently born into this state and cannot truly fall from it. It reflects a fluid, cooperative alignment with the energies of creation.
Imagination
Imagination is the mental faculty of inner visualization or symbolization. It acts as a connective fiber between the physical and nonphysical entity, between the waking and dreaming self, and between various probable events. It is a creative faculty that shapes reality, explores possibilities and generates new forms. Imagination along with emotion generate the intensities needed to transform inner constructions into physical materialization. When used constructively, imagination easily moves beliefs in and out of your mind into the directions you desire.
Impulses
Impulses are spiritual and biological urges toward action. They arise spontaneously from the inner Self directing you toward the expression of your greatest potential for development and value fulfillment. The inner Self sends a range of spontaneous impulses that will provide an overall balance of action. You open the channel for guidance by intuitive impulses when you acknowledge and trust them, while making conscious choices as to which to act on. Impulses that seem destructive and harmful are usually the result of denied energy and expression, and/or unfortunate belief systems.
Inner Knowledge
Direct understanding that arises from within. This knowledge is deeper than intellectual learning and emerges spontaneously when aligned with inner truth. It is available to all consciousness and is perceived through the inner senses. It is often accessed through intuition, deep contemplation, and spontaneous insight.
Inner Reality
- Framework 1 : The physical world where events materialize, and cause and effect seem to operate. Here, time appears linear, matter seems solid, and separation seems real.
- Framework 2 : The inner dimension of reality where events originate, and all probabilities exist. Here, time is simultaneous, space is unified, and all is connected. Energy in Framework 2 naturally inclines toward creativity and fulfillment.
The subjective dimension from which physical manifestations originate. All physical experiences are first formed in the inner reality before being translated into material existence.
Inner Self
The deeper non-physical aspect of your identity, the level of your consciousness that forms and maintains your body and physical environment, shaping and projecting the EE units into physical experience. It has direct access to the entity’s full knowledge. It is your personal source of vast resources of creative energy, guidance, and loving support for your outer ego and human identity.
Inner Senses
Natural sense abilities that allow direct perception and knowledge beyond the physical senses. These include nine specific abilities:
Magical Approach
A natural spontaneous and intuitive mode of engaging with reality that combines intellect and inner knowing, allowing for effortless creation and manifestation. This approach contrasts with the rigid, rational method of control and struggle, instead emphasizing trust in the creative forces of the universe.
Multidimensional Existence
The true nature of consciousness which extends beyond physical reality. Consciousness operates in multiple dimensions simultaneously, existing in more than one framework at once.
Multidimensional Self
The greater identity that encompasses both physical and non-physical aspects of self. This self operates across many planes of existence, continuously evolving and expressing its creative abilities. Your multidimensional self includes all the various aspects of your identity in all the different reality systems you’re exploring, including different probable and reincarnational realities.
Multipersonhood/Probable Selves
Different versions of a single personality existing simultaneously, each exploring different potential realities. These independent selves develop different abilities but are connected through the entity. They are created through choices not taken in ‘this’ reality.
Official Line of Consciousness (OLC)
Seth referred to a dominant worldview on the planet as the Official Line of Consciousness—a culturally reinforced belief system that emphasizes fear, control, and limitation. The OLC is shaped by dominant institutions, including religion, science, and political systems, which establish widely held assumptions about existence.
Point of Power
The present moment, where consciousness intersects with physical reality and where choice and change are possible. The ability to shift one’s focus, beliefs, and emotions in the now determines future probabilities. The present is your magic moment of awareness, the window through which you create your experience. Your power to change your life is always in the present.
Probable Realities
Alternative versions of events and experiences that exist simultaneously but are usually not physically perceived. These represent different possible choices and developments that branch off from any given moment. They can intersect and influence each other, allowing for free will and creating richness of experience.
Psychological Time
- Life is a struggle. Success must be earned through suffering and struggle.
- Physical reality is random and meaningless. Scientific materialism
- The Universe and life are not safe. The world is dangerous.
- Human nature is flawed, sinful, greedy and destructive. You can’t trust your own energy or worthiness.
- Survival of the fittest: A competitive worldview that assumes struggle for dominance, rather than recognizing cooperation as fundamental to consciousness.
(Also referred to as ‘psy-time’) A primary inner sense that allows movement between inner and outer reality. Psy-time refers to a shift in focus of consciousness away from physical reality and linear time. It is the conduit to all the other inner senses, opening your perception to timelessness and uncamouflaged reality. Seth strongly encouraged the practice of psy-time as a way to fully utilize your inner senses and free yourself from the limitations of camouflage reality.
Reincarnation
This plane is a training system for emerging consciousness. Seth has described it as one of the most challenging environments for learning how to manage your psychic energy to create your own reality. Reincarnation is the process by which the entity projects different personalities into physical reality. These lives are specifically chosen to help the entity grow, explore, and fulfill its potential.
The reincarnational journey involves gaining a full range of experience through different races, genders, and social conditions. As a rule, once incarnated, you must experience at least three roles, that of mother, father and child. Each reincarnated life is a unique expression of the whole self, and together they form a larger picture of growth and learning.
Some people in this system are just beginning their reincarnational journey, while others are more experienced and serve as helpers or teachers. When you’ve completed the lessons of physical reality, you no longer need to return and move on to explore other realms of existence and growth.
Seth
An energy essence personality channeled through Jane Roberts, providing metaphysical knowledge about the nature of reality, consciousness, and multidimensional existence. The Seth material explores the structure of consciousness, the purpose of life, and the creative power of beliefs and thoughts.
Spacious Mind/Higher Intellect
An evolved state of waking consciousness where the intellect and intuitions are united and their activity accelerated. It’s where the ego-consciousness has joined up with the inner Self. In Spacious Mind, we can perceive multiple dimensions of reality simultaneously, processing the data and applying it to daily lived experience.
Spacious Mind is an innate, biologically programmed state of expanded consciousness that is actualized through four triggers:
Spacious Present
The simultaneous nature of all time and events, contrasted with linear perception of past, present and future imposed by physical senses. In this understanding, all moments exist at once rather than in strict linear sequence. Both past and future radiate from the moment point of the Spacious Present.
Speakers
Advanced teachers who help others understand the nature of consciousness, inner reality, and multidimensional existence.
Spontaneity
The natural ability of consciousness to create effortlessly, without rigid control or external constraints. Spontaneity is a fundamental aspect of reality that allows for self-expression, creativity, and expansion. It operates beyond linear logic, enabling instant manifestations in certain frameworks of reality.
Suggestion
A suggestion is any idea or belief you accept, consciously or unconsciously. Suggestion acts to direct the flow of mental or psychic energy into experience. Suggestion operates as an organizer, bringing manifestations from Framework 2. Negative suggestions impede the inner flow of energy, blocking and tangling it into crosscurrents. Worry is a common form of negative suggestion. Constructive suggestions are especially effective when given just before sleep.
Thoughts
Mental acts composed of psychic energy that have an electromagnetic reality, shaping reality and generating events. They group together into mental constructions as thought forms, according to their energetic frequency and intensity. Thoughts project as mental images, with inner sound and light values. They combine with emotion to materialize as physical events and objects.
Value Fulfillment
The innate drive of all consciousness to express and fulfill all potentiality, to develop its abilities while helping others do the same. It operates as a natural law where each form of consciousness contributes to the greater good of all beings, while fulfilling its own unique purpose. In the physical universe this law manifests as growth.
World View
Your worldview is the underlying foundational construction determining your inner rule set and “facts” about how this reality and society work (both in general and specifically for you). It’s your framework for understanding and navigating the world, and determines what’s required to operate well within it, and what’s possible for you. The worldview sets up a kind of all-encompassing climate system in your consciousness, a kind of overall pervasive energetic and emotional atmosphere. It’s the substrate for all your other belief systems and constructs.
Your worldview is formed early in life and is heavily influenced by the collective belief systems of your family, culture and social system. It’s often invisible because it’s formed so young and constantly reinforced by mass telepathy and a barrage of suggestion from all sides, both explicit and implicit (from media, entertainment, schools, etc.). We’ve accepted it as the basic “facts” of how reality works, so we don’t even think to examine or challenge these root assumptions.
