Greetings, I’m Rick Stack, President of New Awareness Network, Inc. and The Seth Educational Institute, and I’m proud to announce the 2019 Physical and Online Global Seth Conference. We did our first Seth Conference in New York City in 1988, and this one will be the 12th Seth conference that we have had the honor of producing. Our new mixture of physical and online events means that some of the conference presentations will be held live in New York City on Saturday April 6, 2019, and the rest will be held online starting Tuesday April 9 and continuing for a period of approximately seven (business) days.
As always, all presentations, whether physical or online, are recorded, and participants will have access to the recordings 24 hours a day throughout the conference and for a period of 6 months thereafter. So, if you can’t join us for the live portion of the conference in New York City, or miss some of the online webinars held the following week, you can view them all, online, at your convenience. The live day in NYC will be video recorded, and the online presentations will be recorded as audio plus onscreen whiteboard for photos, text, powerpoint presentations, etc. Participants can use a computer, tablet, phone or smartphone to attend the online webinars, and to view the recordings of the physical and online portions of the conference. Dean Radin, PhD, is Chief Scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS) and since 2001 has periodically lectured at Sonoma State University and served on doctoral dissertation committees at Saybrook University and the California Institute for Integral Studies. For three decades he has been engaged in frontiers research on the nature of consciousness. Before joining the research staff at IONS in 2001, he held appointments at Princeton University, University of Edinburgh, University of Nevada, Interval Research Corporation, and SRI International. He is author or coauthor of over 250 scientific and popular articles (some 80+ in peer-reviewed journals), three dozen book chapters, and three popular books including the award-winning and bestselling The Conscious Universe (HarperOne, 1997), Entangled Minds (Simon & Schuster, 2006), and a 2014 Silver Nautilus Book Award, Supernormal (Random House, 2013). These books have been translated into 14 foreign languages, so far. His technical articles have appeared in journals ranging from Foundations of Physics and Physics Essays to Psychological Bulletin and Journal of Consciousness Studies; he was featured in a New York Times Magazine article; and he has appeared on dozens of television shows ranging from the BBC’s Horizon and PBS's Closer to Truth to Oprah and Larry King Live. He has given over 375 interviews and talks, including presentations at Harvard, Stanford, Cambridge, Princeton, Virginia Tech, the Sorbonne, the University of British Columbia, for industries including Google, Johnson & Johnson, Rabobank, and for various government organizations including the US Navy, DARPA, and the National Academy of Sciences.
David Rind, Ph. D.
David Rind Ph.d., is a Senior NASA Researcher Emeritus at the Goddard Institute for Space Studies, where has worked for more than 30 years while also being an adjunct professor at Columbia University. He has more than 300 publications relating to atmospheric dynamics and climate change, is a fellow of the American Geophysical Union, and a recipient of numerous awards, including the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize as one of a group of Lead Authors. He has been involved with eastern religions and meditation since the 1960s and has been a student of the Seth material since its inception.
Dr. Nan Lu
Dr. Nan Lu (and Grand Master of Qigong), is founding director and president of the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) World Foundation, the country’s foremost educational organization for traditional Chinese medicine. He credits much of his deep understanding to the Seth materials and applies these teachings when guiding patients and students. As Grand Master of Wu Ming Qigong, he is a lineage holder of ancient knowledge not found in today’s textbooks. He has devoted his life to preserving the unique body–mind–spirit wisdom of TCM and Wu Ming Qigong. A longtime TCM practitioner, his mission is to help patients and his Qigong students discover their healing abilities and the effect of consciousness in everyday health. Dr. Lu’s latest book is Digesting the Universe: A Revolutionary Framework for Healthy Metabolism Function, a major work that addresses the multidimensional aspects of today’s chronic health issues. He holds a doctorate in traditional Chinese medicine from Hubei College (University) of TCM, China, and is a clinical associate professor at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook, School of Social Welfare.
David Cielak
DAVID CIELAK is a frequent presenter at the US and European conferences of the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD). His presentations often focus on Seth’s teachings in the area of dreams and his most recent presentation was on Seth, Dreams and Health. Dave has been studying the Seth material since the 1970’s when the book Seth Speaks literally fell off a bookstore shelf into his lap. He credits Seth’s concepts and dream state practices to helping him achieve success in building large scale social welfare organizations which have helped thousands of disabled and disadvantaged people to obtain and maintain employment. Dave has facilitated and co-led Seth focused dream groups both on line and in person and is the Program Director of New Awareness Network Inc.
Dr. Tieng Shen-Hsu
Dr. Tien-Sheng Hsu is the founder of the rapidly expanding Taiwan Seth Education Foundation, with branches throughout Asia. He worked as a specialist in family medicine at the Renai branch of Taipei City Hospital but transferred to psychiatry to gain a deeper understanding of how the human psyche affects the body. After being a psychiatrist at Taipei City Psychiatric Center, he became the director of the mental health department at Taipei County Hospital. He currently runs the Seth Holistic Clinic in Taipei which treats mental and physical illness using Seth’s concepts and principles. The many people who have dramatically improved or healed themselves with the aid of what they learned from Dr Hsu, (and from their own subsequent study of the Seth material) have resulted in a burgeoning interest in the Seth material throughout Asia. As a result of Dr Hsu’s work, tens of thousands of people have been introduced to the Seth material and Seth Study groups and lectures continue on an ongoing basis in Malaysia, mainland China, Hong Kong and throughout Taiwan. Dr Hsu is the author of over 13 books and established a publishing company in Taiwan which is in the process of publishing all of the Seth books in Mandarin.
Glen Payne
Glen Payne initially studied in the fields of biochemistry and microbiology, moving on to a 25 year career in Information Technology. During this time he presented at numerous IT conferences, receiving several ‘best paper’ awards. He has been a student of the Seth material since 1975 and has a particular interest in how modern cosmology is validating Seth’s explanation of the universe. Glen is co-founder of Seth Network Australia and an advocate for connecting the global community of Seth readers.
Irene O’Garden
Irene O’Garden has been consciously creating a rich multidimensional artistic life since discovering Seth and Jane in 1981. She has won or been nominated for prizes in nearly every writing category from stage to e-screen, hardcovers, as well as literary magazines and anthologies. Her critically-acclaimed play Women On Fire, (Samuel French) played sold-out houses at Off-Broadway’s Cherry Lane Theatre and was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award. O’Garden won a Pushcart Prize for her lyric essay “Glad To Be Human,” (Untreed Reads.) Harper published her first memoir Fat Girl; her second, Risking the Rapids: How My Wilderness Journey Healed My Childhood is forthcoming from Mango (February, 2019) Harper also published her best selling and award-winning children's books. Irene's poems and essays have been featured in dozens of literary journals and award-winning anthologies. Fulcrum, (Nirala, 2017) is her first poetry collection. Irene is also a Poetry Educator with the Hudson Highlands chapter of the national River Of Words program, connecting children to nature via poetry and art. She and her husband writer John Pielmeier have lived joyfully together for over 40 years.
Mary Dillman
Mary Dillman has dedicated the past 12 years to researching and helping to organize the original manuscripts, journals and papers of Jane Roberts that are archived at Yale University. Her work for the benefit of current and future scholars of the Seth material includes ongoing interviews with friends and associates of Jane Roberts and Rob Butts, including former ESP class members. These interviews, as well as documents and audio tapes, are forming an ancillary collection for eventual use by other researchers. In her presentations Mary enjoys sharing her discoveries along with her adventures and insights from using the Jane/Rob/Seth ideas in her own life.
Virginia Bennett
Virginia Bennett, Ph. D. is a clinical psychologist with a private practice in Berkeley, California. In addition to being a professor of graduate level psychology, she has a doctorate in parapsychology, and has specialized in the use of hypnosis for 25 years. She has worked—and played—with the Seth material for forty years. Personally and professionally, she has sought an integration of mainstream psychology and metaphysical explorations, including past life regressions, lucid dreaming, altered states, and probable realities. Ranging from a theoretical view of our multidimensionality, to a grounded application of creating a life worth living, she is ever guided by Seth’s comment, “If it isn’t fun, stop doing it?”
Rick Stack
Rick Stack was a friend and student of Seth & Jane Roberts and personally attended over 100 Seth sessions given in Jane Roberts' classes in Elmira, NY. He is the President of New Awareness Network Inc., SethCenter.com, and publisher/editor of The Seth Audio Collection, The Seth Material, The Early Sessions (Books 1-9 of the Seth Material), The Personal Sessions, and other books by Jane Roberts. Author of "Out Of Body Adventures" (Contemporary Books 1988), he has been teaching courses and workshops on the Seth material, dreams, out of body experiences, parapsychology and consciousness studies throughout the United States and abroad for 38 years. He has appeared on numerous radio and television shows including Coast to Coast with George Noury. Over a 20 year period Rick worked with Jane's husband Rob Butts on the publication of previously unpublished Seth material. His current projects include being on the board of advisors for The World Peace Foundation, and a global outreach program to educate and introduce people to the Seth material (http://sethlearningcenter.org/ and http://sethinstitute.com/)
Robert Waggoner
Robert Waggoner is the author of "Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self," and a past President of the International Association for the Study of Dreams (IASD). For the last ten years, he has been co-editor of the online magazine, "The Lucid Dream Exchange," the only ongoing publication devoted specifically to lucid dreaming. Robert frequently speaks on lucid dreaming at national and international dream conferences, workshops and college classrooms.
Barrie Gellis
Barrie Gellis is a former member of Jane Roberts’ ESP class (one of the NY boys) and was referred to as "our poet" by Seth in the 10-31-71 class. He has written more than 4000 poems, including his poetry book "Outside is a Secret Key," and his poems have appeared in Sue Watkins’ book, “Conversations With Seth.” He has done various radio interviews as well as presentations at various Seth conferences, is the most active Seth class member on online message boards, and had hosted a bimonthly cyber Seth chat for 10 years. Barrie has a book coming out in Germany and Switzerland to be called “The Seth World View - Questions And Answers, Essays And Poems.” He was formerly a high school English Teacher for 20 years; and trained as a conflict resolution/peer mediation specialist. He has also produced two public access TV shows for QPTV in Queens, NY. His presentation for this conference will highlight the far-reaching, deep significance of Seth's concept that we are all innately loving, compassionate and good.
Ejay Jamb
Ejay Jamb is a woman of many talents. Her varied career has included being a librarian, an accounts manager, a writer, a poet and a teacher of martial arts, yoga and vegetarian cooking. Being a humorist, she sees the funny side of life and laughingly describes herself as irreverent. She is also the creator and online administrator for Seth Network Australia (https://www.facebook.com/groups/535826089883587/).Ejay is committed to supporting Seth readers make sense of what is often considered ‘dense’ information.
Leslie Ellis
Dr. Leslie Ellis is a teacher, writer and psychotherapist. She has a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and a Masters from Pacific Graduate Institute. She is adjunct faculty at Adler University and a Certifying Coordinator with The Focusing Institute.
Annie Kagan
ANNIE KAGAN is the author of the acclaimed book, The Afterlife of Billy Fingers: How My Bad Boy Brother Proved to Me There is Life After Death, one of the most detailed and profound ADC's (After Death Communications) ever recorded. When her brother Billy died unexpectedly and began speaking to her from the afterlife, Annie agreed to accompany him on his journey through the mysteries of death. As Billy reaches from the “other side” to change his sister’s life and the lives of those around her, he shares his continuing education about the joy and wonder to come in the afterlife.
Hall Hunsinger
Hall read his first Seth book as a skeptic with the sole purpose of proving it was a complete nonsense and a hoax. Instead, he embarked on a lifetime of study. He attended Rick Stack’s NYC Seth class in the early 1980’s and is still a participant in Rick’s current NYC class. In 1992, Hall began a correspondence with Robert Butts, and then moved to New Haven, CT to study the then unpublished (now published) Seth material at the Yale University library. Hall then wrote to Rob about a life-changing breakthrough he’d made and Mr. Butts wrote back, “…Your letter is one of the most touching, moving ones I’ve ever received…You sound to me as though you’ve managed to cross a barrier not a lot of us surmount—Please let me congratulate you on your journey.” Hall is currently an actor and composer, living in New York City.
Eben Alexander
After decades as a physician and teacher at Harvard Medical School and elsewhere, renowned academic neurosurgeon DR. EBEN ALEXANDER thought he knew how the brain, mind, and consciousness worked. A transcendental Near-Death Experience (NDE) during a week-long coma from an inexplicable brain infection changed all of that – completely. He awoke with memories of a fantastic odyssey deep into another realm – more real than this earthly one! His experiences offer a crucial key to the understanding of reality and human consciousness. Our conferences are designed to help people at all levels to increase their understanding of themselves and their universe, connect with their own inner wisdom, and maximize their joy and fulfillment in all areas. The people who attend our conferences are very diverse. Some of them have just recently made self-understanding and spiritual exploration a priority in their lives. Others have been concentrating on such activities for years. Some have just recently heard about Seth, and others have been reading the Seth books for decades. We have people attending from countries throughout the globe and from all walks of life. Many who attend already have an appreciation of the astounding quality, clarity and importance of the Seth books. So whether you are a beginner or an old hand, join us and enjoy these conferences, as we work together to awaken to our greater nature and keep this wonderful material alive.
How it will work
The Conference begins Saturday, April 6, 2019, with a full day of Live Physical Presentations from 10 AM - 6 PM. Afterwards, at 7:00 PM that night, we will have a Seth Cocktail Party (Free for all registrants) at a historic mansion in NYC. If you’re inclined to stick around the next morning, we will be doing A Seth Walk in Central Park on Sunday April 7, 2019 starting at 11:00 AM at Central Park, New York City. There will also be an optional dinner the night before the conference on Friday April 5, 2019, in NYC, near the conference venue. The following Tuesday, April 9th, kicks off 7 days (weekdays) of online presentations with an awesome lineup of presenters.
Each online presentation will run around 1 hour. Most days will have a presentation around 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM EST. There will be no online presentations on Saturday, April 13 and Sunday, April 14. If you can’t attend the events live, no problem, they are all recorded. Participants will have access to the recordings 24 hours a day during the conference, and for an additional six months thereafter. Many of the recordings will also have a visual component like slides or photos, so those are best watched on a computer or tablet or smartphone.
